Minority Contractors Collaboration (MCC) provides training in carpentry. NCCER’s curriculum in carpentry teaches apprentices to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This four-level curriculum covers content such as building materials, cabinet fabrication and advanced wall systems to successfully work in a variety of construction activities Carpentry/Carpenter program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to lay out, cut, fabricate, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, using hand and power tools. Includes instruction in technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, blueprint reading, foundations and roughing-in, finish carpentry techniques, and applicable codes and standards.
